ANTECEDENT FACTORS INFLUENCING THE PERFORMANCE OF ONLINE FOOD DELIVERY RESTAURANTS IN CHONGQING, CHINA, ALIGNED WITH RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION (SDG 12)

Abstract

This research aims to explore the level of entrepreneurship, knowledge management, innovation capabilities, organizational agility, competitive advantage and performance of online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing, China. The study also aims to study the influence of entrepreneurship, knowledge management, innovation capabilities, organizational agility and competitive advantage that affect the performance of online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing, China, aligned with responsible consumption and production (SDG 12). This study employed a quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 440 entrepreneurs from online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research findings indicated that 1) the levels of entrepreneurship, innovation capabilities, and organizational agility among online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing were at the "Agree" level, while knowledge management, competitive advantage, and overall business performance were evaluated at the "Strongly Agree" level. These results reflect the high importance placed by entrepreneurs on effective knowledge management and competitive positioning in maintaining operational success. 2) Furthermore, entrepreneurship, knowledge management, innovation capabilities, organizational agility, and competitive advantage were found to have a direct and statistically significant positive influence on the performance of online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing at the 0.05 level. The respective influence coefficients (β) were 0.63, 0.41, 0.56, 0.55, and 0.68. Collectively, these five factors accounted for 85% of the variance in performance (R² = 0.85). The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurship, knowledge management, innovation capabilities, organizational agility, and competitive advantage are key factors influencing the performance of online food delivery restaurants in Chongqing. Effective management of these factors can enhance business growth and enable firms to compete sustainably and securely in the market.
