FACTOR ANALYSIS OF SPECIALIZED EDUCATION MANAGEMENT FOR ENHANCING COMPETIVENESS IN PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

This study examines the effect of specialized education management on the competitiveness of private institutions. Drawing upon a multidimensional perspective, specialized education management is conceptualized through five key dimensions: curriculum specialization, industry alignment, instructional innovation, faculty expertise, and resource and infrastructure support. Institutional competitiveness is reflected in terms of market attractiveness and financial sustainability. A quantitative research design was employed, and data were collected from 225 administrators and faculty members across various private educational institutions in Thailand. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyse the relationships between the constructs. The results indicate that specialized education management has a significant and positive effect on the competitiveness of private institutions (β = 0.72, p < 0.001), explaining 52% of the variance in competitiveness. The findings highlight the importance of strategic alignment between educational practices and industry needs, as well as the role of innovation, faculty capability, and institutional resources in enhancing competitive performance. Despite certain limitations related to data variability, the study provides valuable theoretical and practical insights. It contributes to the literature by offering an integrated framework of specialized education management and underscores the importance of adopting a holistic approach to improve institutional competitiveness.
