HOW ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION DRIVES SUPPLY CHAIN RESILIENCE: EVIDENCE FROM A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

The increasing frequency of global disruptions has elevated supply chain resilience (SCRes) as a critical capability, particularly in service-based industries such as logistics. Although entrepreneurial orientation (EO) is widely viewed as a driver of adaptability under uncertainty, empirical evidence on the EO–SCRes relationship remains fragmented and theoretically underdeveloped. This study employs a PRISMA-guided Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of empirical studies published between 2010 and 2025 to critically synthesize prior findings. The results reveal that EO does not operate as a universal or direct determinant of resilience; rather, its effect is contingent, indirect, and mediated by organizational capabilities. By integrating the Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capability Theory, and Service-Dominant Logic, this study reconceptualizes EO as a strategic enabler embedded within capability configurations. This study advances the literature by resolving empirical inconsistencies and calls for future research to unpack the underlying mechanisms shaping the EO–SCRes nexus.
